Smiling International School is the oldest international school in the Emilia-Romagna region, with over 26 years of experience in international education. We are a private, bilingual school welcoming children aged 2 to 18. Currently, our community includes 450 students from 18 different nationalities, learning across two campuses.

IB Diploma Programme
Smiling International School is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and is an International Baccalaureate® World School authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme (IBO profile). Upon graduation, students receive either the Italian Maturità or the IB Diploma, both of which are recognized by universities worldwide.
Our curriculum is primarily taught in English, complemented by Italian, Spanish, and Chinese, reflecting our multilingual approach.
We also prepare students for language certifications based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in English, Spanish, and Chinese. These exams are optional.
