  • IB – International Baccalaureate

The Linguistic High School follows the national guidelines established by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIM), providing a comprehensive linguistic education over four years.

The International Baccalaureate is based on the internationally recognized standards of the International Baccalaureate Organization and includes a two-year Middle Year Programme (in the accreditation phase) and a two-year Diploma Programme, offering a rigorous and globally respected curriculum.

Our strengths

Classes have an average of 15 students, enabling personalized attention to each student’s specific needs and fostering active participation in all educational activities.

Each teacher is dedicated—both individually and collaboratively within the school community—to implementing all necessary strategies to prevent school failure and dropout. We promote personalized teaching, offer curricular and extracurricular support for students facing challenges, and actively nurture excellence.

All non-language subjects are taught in English, enabling our students to achieve a high level of mastery and proficiency in the language. As a result, the majority of students complete high school with a Cambridge English C1 Advanced certification, while some go on to attain the C2 Proficiency certification, demonstrating near-native fluency.

Our goal is to nurture open-minded, independent, and curious students who are equipped to face every challenge—whether linguistic, technological, scientific, or human—with the culture and knowledge they gain during this crucial stage of their lives.

We support our students in selecting the university path that best suits them through conferences, open days, and dedicated guidance sessions. Our goal is to empower them to fully leverage the knowledge and talents they have developed during their years at Smiling.

Inclusion is an ongoing commitment to creating a school environment where every student feels welcomed, heard, and free to express their individuality—fostering real opportunities for participation and success for all.
